Came for Art purposes, Got a life lesson.

" When there's a big disappointment, we don't know if that's the end of the story. It may just be the beginning of a great adventure." - Pema Chodron

It's very important to take sometime off of the daily routine. Routine is a word I have a love and hate relationship with. Although at times I feel comfortable in it, it's a secret killer of creativity. Feeling comfortable isn't always a good thing if you want to improve which you should want to. So this little adventure I took to San Diego was partly to inspire me. I was hoping it would spark a flare in me to create a bunch of new art pieces and designs. But the universe wanted to give me something more than just aesthetic material. It wanted me to learn a lesson.

When it comes to San Diego messy hair and carefree attitudes is a norm.
It is a very relaxed environment wherever you find yourself in the city or by the beach. Everyone carries themselves with ease and simplicity. My expectations were low just because of the distance our destination would end at. We live about an hour and a half away from San Diego and for so long I compared my adventures with distance. Little did I know that was not at all the case.

Previously My parents and I were supposed to go out of country, but that couldn't happen based on other prior commitments. It was July 26th, I booked our stay and we took off the next day. Without any certainty of what our days were going to look like we went with the flow. What better place to relax and wing it then San Diego. We didn't want to do the typical zoo and aquarium trip so we let go of our pervious perceptions and trusted the universe. The outcome was amazing and very simple.

These people are my home so as long as I'm with them we can be as mobile as our lives can possibly allow us to be. I know there will be a time where I won't be with them as much I was growing up, but this kind of love and bond can't be separated by distance or death. They will always be with me no matter where I am or what I'm doing. I think the most important of having an adventure with people is the people itself. You could be going to the most populated area or isolated area, but as long as you have great company even if its by yourself, your stay will be amazing. I think that also applies to your  day to day life. You should have people in your life that make you excited for it.

My trip to San Diego taught me to appreciate the smallest of things like how a nap can change your entire day and mood. Stopping by to not smell the roses, but the freshly hand made tortias in Old Town San diego.

This wasn't Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico, this wasn't just another place. It was a memory that would forever stay in a storage unit in my brain. It cannot be touched or relived in anyway other way, but my own and that to me is magic. No need to find mainstreams perceptions of love, magic, and beauty i've already found it and I will continue to find it in my everyday life in our little speckle of dust in this unending universe.
